Below is our FAQ section along with the standard welcome letter we send to all of our potential clients inquiries on services. We've decided to include the letter as well, since it is FULL of wonderful info regarding your shoot.
FAQs1. Reserving your spot.
We must receive your $100.00 non refundable deposit within one week of you booking an appointment (unless stated otherwise). For example, if you booked an appointment on January 1st for February 1st, we would need the deposit no later than January 7th. Retainers are Non-Refundable, but if you give us at least 3 weeks’ notice to cancellation, then we can apply that deposit to another date. If you cancel with less than 4 weeks’ notice then you forfeit the right to your deposit. 2. Payment methods We accept Cash, Bank money order or Credit/debit via paypal. We also can accept credit cards via Square in studio. We DO NOT accept personal checks. If you would like to pay with your credit or debit card, you will need to do this via paypal. Paypal is a safe, secure site that is free to set up! Just be sure to select “gift” when choosing this method. Paypal does charge a small fee for their services, but it is only when you send money. Choosing “payment owed” makes sure that the full amount is sent to VI, and that you are the one charged the nominal fee for the service. Paypal request should be sent to Vintage_Imagery@yahoo.com 3. State Tax Is included on packages, but will be assessed and added if any additional items (ie books, prints, posters etc) are purchased. 4. Disc/photo Delivery You have several options for receiving your photos from VI Photography. You are entitled to your photos on a Disc (Keychain Thumb drives will be available starting mid-January 2013) or via email. All methods will provide you with the same quality photos. Email delivery is quicker and immediate. If you opt to have a Disc made, you must be able to pick the disc up at designated pick up times (which will be supplied once the disc is finalized) or you may request to have the disc mailed to your address for a $5 charge. 5. Personal use form (right to print) You will receive a Personal use form, which is a form that gives you permission to have the photos printed as much as you’d like up to size 11X14. This form will be a PDF file on your disk, or emailed to you. If you need a printed copy, please let me know so that I can bring it for your appointment. Any prints over 11X14, or any other items, such as books or calendars must be purchased directly through Vi Photography. 6. Purchasing additional photos At the time of your shoot, we will take more photos then your appointment is scheduled for. This means two things. 1. We have enough photos to choose from to make sure you get quality, gorgeous photos. 2. You have the option to purchase additional photos. You are NOT required to and I will never push you to buy something you don’t want. Trust me, I don’t have to push, they sell themselves! 7. Making sure you LOVE-LOVE your photos You WILL receive emails of a low resolution (smaller but faster to send) version of your finished product. This will give you the opportunity to make sure you love everything about your photos before they are finalized! If there is anything that you want differently, you can just let us know. This happens very seldom, but I still make sure each person loves every one of their photos! 8. Do you photoshop? Yes, Vi is one of the best in the area! Check out our Video's on Youtube. All magazine style editing is included in the package pricing. This includes Skin smoothing, digital hair and makeup touch-ups, eye and teeth whitening, acne, scar, stretch mark and wrinkle removal, body reshaping and enhancements and more! |
Our Welcome letterWe are unlike any other photo studio that you will find! Our photographer is award winning, published in a multitude of books and magazines and uses top secret editing techniques used on today's Hollywood stars and models! Our studio has an all female staff and is in a private and secure location. At Vi Photography, We specialize in photographing women! In fact, We're so good at it, that we don't do any other type of photography, so you know we are dedicated to making you look your best! Whether you choose Boudoir, Bridal Boudoir, Glam the gown, Wedding, Sexy plus size, Fashion, Modern pinup, retro pinup, maternity, couples or our signature "Boudoir Nuevo" style, you will not be disappointed! Vi Photography focuses solely on the art of bringing out the inner (and outer) beauty that ever women has, so don't hesitate!
For these particular attached packages, a copyright (right to print) release is supplied, and you may print (at your own cost) an unlimited amount up to size 11x14. I do also offer professional quality prints for clients whom are interested, as well as professional printing over the 11x14 size. Sizing and pricing options can be discussed upon request. Each package states an amount of photos. This is NOT the amount that is taken that day, however, this is the amount of finalized, fully edited photos on disk, with previously mentioned copyright release. Additional photos and poses will normally be taken within your session, to ensure that you have at least the minimum amount (based on your package) of photos. If there are extra photos of the same quality and caliber, above and beyond the photos chosen for final edit, we will send you a proof of the unedited photos and offer you the choice of purchasing them. Of course, if you choose to purchase more, those will then be put through the same editing process and given the same copyright release. I will need to know what package you'd like before i can discuss any dates or times with you, as each package requires a different amount of time. I have a healthy wardrobe of clothing and shoes, ranging from xs-xxxl and shoes will fit any sizes up to size 9. I also have some larger sizes, but they are in limited supply. I recommend that you bring in at least one pair of matching bra and panties and a nude throng. Remember, you can never bring too much! Popular items, are jerseys, hubby's shirt, wedding items, nighties etc!! Posing and expression guidance is included and we will make sure that you are posed to look your best, no experience required! Hair and Makeup is NOT included in package prices, but I do have a Certified hair and makeup artist (Shear Sherrie), trained on glamor, beauty and pinup styles, and also trained on applying makeup for "film", that can come to the studio the day of the session. You can email her for pricing/appointments at Sherrie@sexytransformations.com Keep in mind that applying makeup for a photo shoot is different then applying makeup for everyday wear. If you plan on using our hair and makeup artist, I must be made aware at the time of the booking so that enough time is booked for your makeup prior to your photo session. We will normally have you come in an hour before your shoot for hair and makeup) If you are not using our hair and makeup artist, please come to the studio with hair and makeup ready to go, as we will begin shooting right away. We do include digital hair and makeup touch ups in your final edits, but this is no substitute for having full hair and makeup. MUAH onsite services are $145 due the day of your session. Sherrie accepts cash/credit card. This includes heated style, Mac makeup and lashes. Once packages are selected and scheduled you are not able to change them, so please choose carefully! Add'l Outfit changes above and beyond package allowance are $25 per (This is only if you'd like more outfit changes then are included in the package) Standard editing (included in pricing, no add'l charge) Digital makeup and hair touch-ups, eye and teeth whitening, body shaping and contouring, skin perfecting (wrinkle, scar, acne, moles, eczema etc removal), bust enhancement, cellulite and stretch mark removal etc. Large tattoos can be removed for a small add'l fee All of the fabulous editing you see today on models in magazines everywhere! DO NOT WORRY ABOUT ANY OF YOUR PERCEIVED FLAWS!!! We can choose clothing and use editing and posing to help hide or minimize anything! You will look AMAZING!! What is NOT included in standard editing: Extensive editing( ie large tattoos, root touch up, color changes on clothing, tanning lines, tanning bodies etc. i can offer these services at an add'l $75 per hour. ) Makeup corrections (unless session was done by Shear Sherrie) Poorly done make up is very hard to correct and requires a lot of time. Composite images IE combining more than one image, creating a different background, scene, etc. Painted effect, changing color of outfits, etc Charges for these items are listed in the middle column of the pricing list. All images will be sent to you via email for your approval before CD finalization. Remember that images sent via email have been reduced in size for fast transit upload/download times and the actual finalized image will be much clearer and sharper. Appointment spots for the holidays are very very limited. We DO NOT shoot on weekends UNLESS the package is over $1,500. Most appointment times are on Thursday mornings and afternoon. Because we are a low volume studio, we only book on 1-2 days per week. While we try to be flexible, we need to have the other days for the accounting, editing and delivering portion of our business. We book around 3-6 months in advance, although some sooner dates are available but are very limited. A $100-$150 (depending on your package) retainer is due at the time of booking to hold your spot, and is NON-refundable, but if you reschedule your appointment with at least 4 weeks’ notice, you can still reapply your retainer to another day. If you cancel with less than four weeks’ notice, your retainer is forfeited to Vi Photography. No exceptions. Final payment is due on the day of your shoot. Cash, PayPal or money orders are all accepted. We do not take personal checks. Paypal payments need to be put through as "payment owed" in the personal tab in order for us to receive the full amount. You can send payments to Vintage_Imagery@yahoo.com (please note that there is an underscore between the words Vintage and Imagery Completion time for you to receive your fully edited images on disk is about 3 week-4 weeks after choosing your favorite images from your gallery. Additional time for books, canvas and calendars is also needed depending on the time of year(usually around 4-6 weeks) Please plan accordingly Studio location is in Troy, IL. Address will be provided once we receive the retainer amount. For your privacy and safety, we are by appointment only. Pinup and Boudoir Party pricing estimate is available upon request and is customized to your needs! This will be the best girls night ever!
